Clare Donofrio, LCSW-C, PMH-C (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in the state of Maryland offering psychotherapy for Maryland residents via telehealth only. Clare is a certified perinatal mental health specialist and has experience and training in infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, perinatal and postpartum mood disorders, and challenging parenting experiences. Clare uses various therapeutic modalities including parts work, CBT, I-CBT, mindfulness, attachment-focused therapy. Clare is in-network with Aetna, Cigna and Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. Clare can also offer a sliding scale fee structure for those not able to use their insurance.

Sliding scale rates are available & superbills are provided. Ask your provider about your “out of network behavioral health benefits” in order to find out if you can get fully reimbursed for therapy sessions.

As a full-spectrum doula, Clare provides abortion and loss doula support both virtually (worldwide) and in-person (in the greater Baltimore area). Abortion and loss doula support is available for anyone experiencing miscarriage, abortion, TFMR, embryo loss, d&c, etc. Doula support is tailored to each client’s needs, but can include options counseling, support in making an abortion or miscarriage management “plan,” emotional support and processing, physical comfort measures at a clinic or hospital location (as permitted by care provider), physical support at home before, during, or after passing a pregnancy, and referral/ care coordination with external resources either in Baltimore or elsewhere.

Clare has delivered trainings and support for professionals in a variety of contexts as a mental health consultant, facilitator, and program manager, and is available to provide in-service trainings or as-needed support to pregnant people, students, pregnancy care providers, birth workers, mental health practitioners, etc. Possible topics include:
